Chosen Concepts
Adolf Loos -
Must be current to time when it's designed. No replica
Loos's style of architectures as known as the earlier stage of modern style architecture, his style of architecture is avant-garde and unique compared to others at that time. His experimental practice of designing architectural buildings by decrying ornaments have a huge success in his theoretical that consist of austere embodiments. This all shows in his buildings with purism formation of geometries.
Jenny Wu -
Animated form
Wu's expression of architecture applies intensive and complex fabrication process. her designs always focus on structural complexity and aggregation. "Animated form" provides the readers with a lively picture, which always adapts to think widely and wisely. This provokes visitors curiosity to stop and stay to view the complexity and visual form of the piece of design.
These concepts have inspired me to create my design by using different forms of geometries to illustrate both technology and sustainability. To clarify the concept "must be current to time", must be a trendy way that suitable and convenient for people utilise, also in a technical way. Also, follow the need of passengers to design.
The way to create the light rail station is to minimise and purify the use of elements, which means the choice of material is the key point to present the technology and sustainability, with the use of concrete, aluminium, glass and natural elements.
